In BillQuick Online, you can attach files to just about anything. In most cases, whichever screen you’re in, you’ll click the “Options” drop down, and you’ll see an attachments option. The dialogue is the same, so make sure you’re in the place where you want the attachment associated. With our Online Billing software, the attachments dialogue opens in a separate window. Be sure and close it when you’re done, especially before you go to attach something somewhere else.
Of course you can attach files such as word documents, or Excel Spreadsheets – if you can browse to it, or you can drag and drop it, then you can attach it.
Most of us these days are using file sharing and management applications like Box.com, ShareFile, and Google Drive. If you install the desktop sync apps for these services, then you can easily drag and drop or browse to and upload the files when you’re attaching.
There’s a better way. Since you’re likely already managing these files in one of the services I mentioned above, or perhaps another one, why not use the web link for the file when attaching it in your cloud-based time billing solution?
The reason for this is that if you edit the document, you don’t need to reattach it in BillQuick Online. Using the web link to the file, that file’s changes will sync to the web, and your reference in your cloud-based time billing solution will always point to the most recent version of that file.
