You might have heard that we just released our newest product, Core. In fact if you take a gander at our site, you’ll notice a lot of changes. Core combines all of the best features of all of our products and adds in a few new ones. I’m going to start right off by saying that I love this product.
The interface is gorgeous, and it is so easy to use, even if you’re not a nerd.
Do we ever! And widgets too. You can customize them, add your own,, share them, or keep them to yourself.
Dashboards are also woven throughout Core.
Want to see how a project is performing? There’s a dashboard for that.
Want to see how a client is performing aggregated for any / all projects? There’s a dashboard for that.
Want to see how an employee is performing? Yep! There’s a dashboard for that too!
Let’s Drop in on Core’s Mobile App
Don’t look for dashboards here. From a nerd’s perspective, I don’t want to look at dashboards and KPI’s on a mobile device. I want them on a giant flat screen, so I can have Evernote or Google Docs open and take notes as I analyze the data.
Or, while I am looking at the dashboards in my browser, I might log into the mobile app, and log my to-dos based on my analysis. That and my workflow history are two things I can see right from the Core mobile app dashboard. Now we’re talking. That’s using the right tools for the right job! I can also approve any submittals, log time, and do much more.
A Few More Things I’m Excited About
This is just the beginning. There will be much more written and recorded about Core as we go!
We’ve got bank feeds! We had them before, but they’re much improved with Core. Any bank, credit card account, or even utility can be connected and downloaded so I can immediately reconcile accounts.
I know I showed you this on the mobile app, but I just LOVE features like this that help me keep track of what needs to get done so I don’t drop any balls!

May the Reports be With You
The reports have always been strong with BQE’s products, but in Core they’ve made them better, stronger, and faster than before. I think I am mixing up my references here, but you get the point.
I can’t wait to dig deeper into this product and show you everything I am finding as I explore Core, but this should give you enough to get started.
