I just confirmed that my neighbor, hands down, has the coolest house in town. While I always knew that it must be awesome from its striking exterior, when I finally got a tour of it…OMG! I didn't want to ever leave. Each room was carefully designed to exploit the magnificent views. Every surface was a material that you just had to touch. Yet the palette was subtle and simple. The details were so perfectly designed that I, who prides myself in finding the mistakes, couldn't find one.
After my neighbor finally kicked me out, I returned to my own home, which now looked drab and uninteresting. After seeing how beautiful things could be, I knew that I finally had to get around to making my own home better. Time to renovate.
