Meet our awesome blog team:
Shafat Qazi, Founder and CEO of BQE Software, is an engineer-turned-entrepreneur who created the most awarded time billing software ever, BillQuick, while still in college. He set out to make time tracking, billing and project management easier for engineers as well as all service professionals and continues to perfect BQE Software products hands-on today. Letting him keep all his industry knowledge to himself would be a shame, so when he’s not designing, giving demonstrations, or speaking at events, we pump him for blogs.
Steven Burns, FAIA, spent 14 years managing his firm Burns + Beyerl Architects. After creating ArchiOffice®, the intelligent office, project management and time tracking solution for architectural firms, Steve brought his management expertise to BQE Software, where he is our ‘recovering architect’ and Director of Product Strategies. He thrives on making the complex simple, and that’s reflected in both his software design and his writings. His architectural and technological savvy mean he’s the resident answer-man at BQE. Bonus points: his notebook doodling during meetings are the best in the company, hands down.
Mark Khurshid, our Vice President of Training and Consulting, improves our products and works with users one-on-one to make sure they’re learning how to get the most out of their software. His familiarity with all our products is rivaled by few, and when we can get a blog out of him, we leap at the opportunity.
Bob Wolff is an accountant-turned-Channel Manager at BQE who helps to offer consulting and software solutions for BQE customers. He likes to share his business expertise here on the blog whenever he can.
Mike Webber started A/E Finance after years as a CFO. He works with A/E Principals and Boards on operations, financial analysis and systems; strategic planning, turnarounds, and interim assignments. His professional involvements include Chair of AIA Chicago’s Practice Management KC, AIA/ACEC Peer Reviewer, ACEC’s Management Practices Committee, and AIA’s Best Practices Review Committee member and author.
