You May Not Like Mondays, but You Love Opportunities

You May Not Like Mondays, but You Love Opportunities - BQE Software

It’s that time of year, when people say things like, “I hate the holidays.” Personally I’ve always loved the holidays. Perspective is everything. How many people come to work every Monday, their whole lives and say, “I hate Mondays?” There’s even a song about it

I guess I look at things differently. How can I hate the entire institution of Mondays? Or the holidays? Aren’t we each responsible for our own experience?

I love Mondays, here’s why.

It’s the beginning of a new week, filled with potential! This may very well be the week, and Monday may even be the day, that I get that next big contract. There’s a song about this too -

When you say that you “hate Mondays,” you render yourself powerless to do anything about it. It’s like you’re “doomed” simply because it’s Monday. Doesn’t that sound ridiculous when you read it like that?

The thing about people who say that everything will go wrong vs the people who say everything will go well, is that they are both usually right.

The next thing you’ll do is ask, “what have I done to deserve this?” Oh yes - there’s a song about that too -

Whether you said, “everything will go wrong” or, “everything will to well” you will likely get what you deserve, so here’s the difference. The ones who said, “things will go well” and got what they deserved, will find them singing, “Hallelujah!”

Oh, and there is DEFINITELY a song about THAT:

So you tell ME!

Do you want to go on hating Mondays, or do you want to view it as a day with unlimited potential for incredible opportunities to present themselves?

Happy Holidays from your favorite “nerd.”

Please enjoy the music in the videos above!
