There’s a really big new feature coming. It’s behind locked doors. It has to do with billing but I. . .
Oh, no, the boss is back early!
There’s more coming. Watch the blog. Watch your email. Pictures. Secret videos. BillQuick 2011 is coming!
Remember: Tell Everyone!

BillQuick has done great things for our firm and we are glad we have it! Every year around January we have the same problem and I am hoping that a future release or patch of BillQuick can address this.
When employees enter time in January 2011, they frequently put in the 2010 year because no one’s brain changes to a new year that fast, especially a cpa’s! If you use the Company screen to set the closing date to 12/31/2010, then you can’t post time backwards. Great! BUT, neither can you bill time from December – the time record cannot be altered, so you cannot bill it. We have some engagements (projects) that are once per year, but we would record odd time during the year to that project in the hopes of billing it the next go-around. Alas, we cannot bill it and control time entry with the closing date.
My recommendation is that the closing date apply only to time modification through the time card and time entry, but that the billing system be allowed to mark and unmark the time as billed.
This would enhance the product greatly because I would spend less time hunting for missing hours and employees would not double up because they think time wasn’t properly entered.
Thanks again!
