Rob is a consultant in the area of Performance Management. In other words, he helps companies improve employee utilisation and efficiency and be more productive. He sees BillQuick as a great tool to help companies manage their staff and business more efficiently. Two of his clients, Aspirion and Consulting Earth Scientists, have installed BillQuick. Rob assisted in the BillQuick implementations. He chose to share results from Consulting Earth Scientists because its BillQuick deployment is more advanced at this time.

Consulting Earth Scientists (CES) is a multidisciplinary environmental consulting firm specialising in the areas of contaminated site assessment, remediation, environmental monitoring, landfill consulting and geotechnical engineering. CES has been in operation for over ten years and has a reputation for being dynamic and for delivering innovative, practical solutions to complex problems. CES provides a comprehensive range of high-quality services to the private and public sectors. CES is located near the Sydney CBD and serves Australian and regional markets.

How has BillQuick helped you in your business?

BillQuick enables us to automate the previously manual processes associated with the estimation of proposals to customers. We manually tracked and collected time and expenses associated with our professional services too. Eventually, we issued invoices.

At this point, which is some three months into the use of BillQuick, we estimate that we reduced time spent capturing time and expenses by more than 60% across the professional staff base, whilst considerably improving the accuracy of that data. This has happened alongside the development of a much clearer understanding of the relationship between activity and productivity on each project. This will lead us into an exciting and innovative way of assessing profitability by project. It will also help us move on to a new and more direct way of using BillQuick to support the enhancement of individual productivity and then individual rewards. BillQuick lets us link individual productivity and performance directly to project profitability and to identify areas of both corporate and individual performance improvement.

In short, BillQuick is leading us to a much more controlled and controllable profit performance, and towards the development of a more committed and commercially-aware workforce.
